Animal sacrifice is ready; Consider if Presidents request is submitted in writing.  Chief Priest.
Kalimuttu Sivapakyasundaram,Chief Priest of the Bhadrakali Kovil of Munneswaram, says that, a decision can be taken regarding the animal sacrifice ritual, which is due to be held on 1st of September, if the President will submit a request in writing to stop it due to the exhibition of Sacred  Relics of Lord Buddha, in Sri Lanka.
He also says that, neither the Court nor the President have informed him in this regards.
“Only, the Deputy Inspector General of Police for Puttalm District, has requested him to stop this animal sacrifice”, he says.
However, he further emphasizes that, even though the President had submitted a written request, he will have to discuss with the other priests of the kovil, and take a decision whether to hold it or not, as all preparations are being made for the animal sacrifice.
