Fonseka is free from the ‘jumper’
Attornies who represent Mr Sarath Fonseka say that, Mr Fonseka will have the privileges of a remanded prisoner, who awaits bail until the issuing of verdict on the next case relevant to him, since his 30 month imprisonment imposed by court martial concludes today.
Accordingly, he can wear his normal clothes, and need not wear the prisoner’s dress ‘Jumper’ anymore, they say.
However, Mr U.L.G. Bandara, Attorney At Law says  that, maximum effort will be taken to obtain bail for the other case filed against him.
Mr Bandara further says that, Mr Fonseka will not get the opportunity to go home soon after the conclusion of his penalty period today, since he hasn’t obtained bail for the appeal of the ‘White Flag Case’.
