Underestimating the war victory, Chandrika calls for an international interference while, showing her hatred.

‘Conclusion of the war is not a matter of joy’.

‘Dividing of power is the only solution’.

‘There was no room for corruption during my administration’.

’56 out of 59 S.L.F.P. decision makers were against Mahinda’. ‘It’s pity the Executive Presidency couldn’t be abolished’.

‘No intention to enter the active politics again’.

‘This system should be changed’.

‘International interference is the only hope’.

Mrs Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumarathunga, The Former President of Sri Lanka has said those, during an interview held with an internet news website.

Talking about the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, she has said that, 56 out of 59 decision makers of the Party has said that, Mahinda shouldn’t be granted the Presidential Candidacy for the 2005 Presidential Elections.

“Only three have supported the proposal’. She said.This is Bandaranaike’s party.But I have been deprived of the advisory post that the party has given me. Mahinda Rajapaksa s are destroying the S.L.F.P.. It is a disaster”. She said.

“However, I am not intending to enter the active politics again” she added.

Expressing her views regarding the conclusion of war, and the division of power,she says that,

“After conclusion of the war, people have celebrated it by eating ‘Kiri Bath’(Milk Rice). But observing from a different angle, you can see that it couldn’t be done.Ending of the war is not a solution for the problem.Only the external form of the problems of the Tamil people was defeated.Even though, the terrorism has been defeated, the true problems of the Tamil people which are descending from the ancient history, is not being solved.To solve this problems, a division of power, beyond the 13th constitutional amendment should be conducted.I have tried the same during the period of my administration.”

“The present government doesn’t have any interest to divide the power.They are ignoring that.The only hope is an international interference”, she said.

Further expressing views, Mrs Kumarathunga says that, She has never allowed the bribery or corruption activities during her period of administration.Even though she has tried her best to abolish the Executive Presidency,she was unsuccessful. Since, the violation of the human rights could be minimized those days, the present government is ‘brainwashing’ the Sinhala People, using the state media. It will put pressure on the Non Sinhala people residing in the country, she said.
