Ranil wins again, deputy leadersip to Sajitha, Karu lost his existing position
According to the reports, Mr Ranil Wickremasinghe has won the election for the Leadership of the United National Party by a majority of 48 votes.Mr Ranil Wickremasinghe has obtained 72 votes, while Mr Karu Jayasooriya has obtained 24 only votes.
Mr Sajith Premadasa, who has contested for the Deputy Leadership with Mr Ravi Karunanayake, won the Deputy Leadership of the party by a majority of 8 votes. Mr Sajith Premadasa has obtained 52 votes ,while Mr Ravi Karunanayake has has obtained 44 votes.
Meanwhile, Mr Daya Gamage has elected for the post of the National Organizer by a majority of 10 votes, after obtaining 50 votes.Mr Dayasiri Jayasekara  has obtained only 40 votes.
Accordingly, Mr Karu Jayasooriya, Mr Ravi Karunanayake, and Mr Dayasiri Jayasekara have lost their former positions in the party
