Colombo roads closed for Navam Perahera.
 
 
The Colombo Traffic Police says that,the undermentioned roads will be closed for traffic on the 6th and 7th of February for the Navam Perahera of Hunupitiya Gangaramaya Temple.
Police also request the public to use alternative roads during this period.
Mentioned below are the the roads which are due to be closed .
 
(A) Slave Island Police Division
 
1. Sir James Peiris Mawatha : Dharmapala Mawatha Junction to Slave Island Junction
 
2.Jinarathana Mavatha;  Sir James Peiris Mavatha- Jinarathana Mavatha Junction to Jinarathana Mavatha- Park road Junction.
 
3.Muttaiah Road ; Muttiah Junction to Muttiah Road- Staples Street Junction
 
4.Navam Mavatha ; Sir James Peiris Mavatha-Muttiah Junction to Uththarananda Mavatha- Sir James Peiris Mavatha Junction.
 
5.Ramanayake Mavatha ; Ramanayake Mavatha- Sir James Peiris Junction to Ramanayake Mavatha – Park Road Junction.
 
6. Hunupitiya Cross road;  Hunupitiya Cross Road -Dharmapala Mavatha Junction to Hunupitiya Cross Road-Ramanayake Mavatha Junction.
 
7.Lake House Crescent;  Jinarathana Mavatha-Lake House Mavatha Junction to Ramanayake Mavatha-Lake Crescent Junction.
 
 
(B)Kollupitiya Police Division.
 
1.Uthtarananda Mavatha; Uttarananda Mavatha-Macan Marker Junction to Uthtarananda Mavatha-Rotunda Roundabout.
 
2.Perahera Mavatha-Sir James Peiris Mavatha Junction to Perahera Mavatha-Rotunda Roundabout.
 
3.Rotunda Roundabout; Gall Road-Rotunda Roundabout to Rotunda Roundabout.
 
4.Crescat Road; The rare gate of Cinnamon Grand Hotel to Uthtarananda Mavatha.
 
5.Hudson road; Perahera Mavatha to Hudson Road St Micheal Junction.
