Disciplinary inquiry against Dayasiri, postponed.
According to the reports, the disciplinary inquiry against the Parliamentarian Mr Dayasiri Jayasekara, was postponed by the U.N.P.Disciplinary Committee until the 2nd of October.
The U.N.P Disciplinary Committee has pressed charges against Parliamentarian Mr Dayasiri Jayasekara, for criticizing the election of office bearers of the United National Party, held on the 19th of December last year, saying that it is illegal.
Accordingly, the relevant disciplinary inquiry was held yesterday,(29th),where the parliamentarian has appeared before the Committee, escorted by his lawyers.
However, after considering the protests raised by Mr Jayasekara’s attorneys saying that, it is unfair to conduct such an inquiry as there is a case pending before the court against the said election regarding the election of office bearers, the inquiry was postponed until 2nd of October by the disciplinary committee.
