Enjoining Order issued by court against the strike launched by Supplementary doctors .
The District Court of Colombo has issued an Enjoining Order to immediately suspend the the strike launched by the Supplementary Doctors, based on certain demands including the removing of salary anomalies.
Due to this strike, patients in many hospitals have faced uneasy situations.
This order was issued by the courts after considering a petition submitted by a heart patient, and a patient who was receiving treatments at the Kalubovila Teaching Hospital

The director of irrigation department Janaki Meegasthanna says that only the 1% of the tanks are filled due to the rain. She said that the water level of the tanks are reduced to 13% and by yesterday it has gone up to 14%.

It is reported that Weligama police has arrested a mother (34) who was trying to jump in to the sea after throwing her son (4) in to the sea. Few fishermen have taken them to the land, but, the child was dead.
