Fonseka is not a challenge to Ranil, but for the parties of the opposition.

Mr Wimal Weerawansa the Leader of the Jathika Nidahas Peramuna says that, even though Mr Sarath Fonseka will enter the politics again,he may be a challenge to the parties of the opposition, but not for Mr Ranil Wickremasinghe, the Leader of the Opposition.

‘Mr Fonseka cannot give a challenge to Mr Ranil Wickremasinghe, since Mr Ranil Wickremasinghe is more matured politician than Mr Fonseka.He may be a challenge to any party, but not for the governing party’ the Minister says.

Mr Weerawansa further says that, if Mr Fonseka has had such an ability to challenge, he could have done that, during the last Presidential Elections, where he had failed to do so.Therefore, he certainly cannot challenge the government in the future.
