Former L.T.T.E. leader Charles Gnanakone, dies.
Charles Gnanakone, who was a leader of the International network of the L.T.T.E, has died in Australia. He was arrested on suspicion of the murder of Mr Lakshman Kadiragamar, the Former Foreign Minister of Sri Lanka, and later released by the government.

Charles Gnanakone, who was living in a large mansion at Hamilton Avanue in Wellawatta area,has established a N.G.O. and raised a fund on behalf of the L.T.T.E.
The Army Intelligence Division has arrested him at a house in Mount Lavinia, on the 10th of October, 2005.
Later investigations have revealed that, it was Gnanakone, who has visited Mr Kakshman Kadiragamar’s residence and told the minister that, the L.T.T.E. would not assassinate him.
