The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce says that, the Chamber itself as well as the investors are concerned about the resignation of Mr Thilak Karunarathna,as the Chairman of Securities and Exchange Commission.

Issuing a notification, the Chamber of Commerce says that, the resignations of two Chairpersons of the Securities and Exchange Commission lesser than one year, should be considered seriously.
The Chamber of Commerce further mentions that, it is very important to establish an active and strong regulatory frame, to provide all investors with long term benefits through maintaining the immovability of Capital Market.
