J.N.P. candidate removed from a state ceremony?

Issuing a notification, the Ministry of Constructions, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities says that, it is a lie that the media reports saying that a Provincial Council candidate of the Jathika Nidahas Peramuna, was removed from a ceremony which was held to grant housing loans provided by the National Housing Development Authority.
CORRECTION OF THE MEDIA REPORTS.
Mr Wimal Weerawansa, the Minister of Constructions, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities, emphasizes that, Mr Upali Jinadasa, who is contesting for the Sabaragamuwa Provincial Council, under the U.P.F.A, didn’t violate the election regulations while participating in a ceremony held at the Postal Auditorium of Kegalle, yesterday 06th of August.
A ceremony was held at the Postal Auditorium at Kegalle, yesterday  (06)to grant financial aids worth Rs 80 Million among 350 families in the Kegalle District, under the ‘Janasevana’ housing project,under the patronage of Minister Wimal Weerawansa. Mr Upali Jinadasa was there to obtain the housing loan as the other persons who were entitled to the loans.He was not seated on the stage as he was seated among the people of the area, who were about to obtain the housing loan.
The Elections Commissioner has given clear instructions not to promote the candidates during the state functions. Therefore, no promotion was done regarding Mr Upali Jinadasa, since he has arrived at the place to obtain the housing loan.Mr Upali Jinadasa has also performed as the Coordination Secretary of Minister Wimal Weerawansa, for the Kegalle District.
Minister Wimal Weerawansa, emphasizes that, he strongly reject the the false propaganda campaign launched on the intention to insult, as there was no violation of election regulations whatsoever, during this occaision.
