J.V.P. ex parliamentarian, joins J.N.P.May Day Parade.
The May Day parade organized by the ‘Jathika Nidahas Peramuna’ was started from the Ayurveda Roundabout in Rajagiriya, with the leadership of Party Leader Mr Wimal Weerawansa, Minister of Constructions, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities, in the afternoon yesterday.
This parade was organized under the anti imperialist theme of ‘Shouldn’t be Overrun by Imperialistic Coercion’. Several organizations, such as the Bolivian Solidarity Organization, Keppetipola Force,and ‘Lak Mava Diyaniyo’ women’s Organization, have participated in this parade, while, the participants have chanted slogans as;
‘To the people we say    – Refrain from eating bread’
‘To the government we say- Impose tax on bread.’
‘To the people we say,   – Drink milk of our country.’
‘To the government we say- Throw away foreign powdered milk’
 
The special incident that occurred during this parade was, Mr Jayantha Weerasekara, the Ex J.V.P. parliamentarian for the Trincomalee District, has joined the J.N.P. parade with Minister Wimal Weerawansa. The J.N.P parade with a huge number of participants, has joined the May Day Rally of United People’s Freedom Alliance at the Town Hall grounds.
Addressing the U.P.F.A May Day rally,Minister Wimal Weerawansa has said that, various ‘Economic Bomb Setters’ are organizing conspiracies against the U.P.F.A government.He also said that,this conspiracies against Sri Lanka is organized not only through Delhi, Washington,U.N.P., T.N.A, J.V.P, and N.G.O’s but also through certain government politicians.
The specialty of this incident is that, President Mahinda Rajapaksa, was on the stage at this moment.
