L.T.T.E. detainee, who was transferred from Vavunia Prison, dead.
According to the reports, L.T.T.E. detainee, who was transferred from Vavunia Prison to Mahara Prison after the clash in Vavunia Prison, is dead.
A senior officer of Mahara Prison has informed the media that, a positive reason for this death is not yet revealed.
During a remonstration launched by a group of L.T.T.E. detainees in Vavunia Prison, demanding the authorities to return three L.T.T.E. suspects, who have been transferred from Vavunia Prison, they have kept three prison officers as hostages for nearly 18 hours.
They were rescued during an operation launched by Police Special Task Force.
