Lesser number of people disappearances in 2011, than 2010; U.S.A.
The U.S.State Department says that, comparing to the year 2010, the number of people disappearances in Sri Lanka have been decreased in 2011.
This was included in a statement released by the U.S.State Department.
It also says that, even though there is a decrease in disappearances, the disappearances of people still occur due to the political reasons.
This report further says that, since people abductions are being committed for criminal activities such as obtaining ransoms also, a proper process has not been activated in Sri Lanka in that regards.
