Minister Siyambalapitiya sues the ‘Sunday Divaina’ demanding a compensation of Rs 1000 Million.
Mr Ranjith Siyambalapitiya the Minister of Telecommunications Information, and Technology, has filed a case in Colombo District Court,against the ‘Sunday Divaina’ newspaper and it’s ownership, demanding Rs 1000 Million as damages for tainting the image and character of Minister’s political life and fame, by publishing a column of ‘King Barnet’,which included false and baseless information regarding the antique theft occurred in the Colombo Museum, recently.
This case was filed under Case Number PMR/957/12.
Attornies at law Mr Ali Sabri, and Mr Wasantha Kahathuduwa are due to be appeared on behalf of  the prosecution.
