Mr Najeeb A. Majeed, sworn as the new Chief Minister of the Eastern Province.
The United People’s Freedom Alliance named Mr Najeeb. A. Majeed for the post of Chief Minister in the Eastern Province.
Mr Majeed, who was elected for the Eastern Provincial Council from the U.P.F.A.,has sworn in before President Mahinda Rajapaksa as the new Chief Minister of Eastern Province.
Mr Najeeb has contested for the Trincomalee District under the U.P.F.A.,and obtained the third place.He is also a Former Deputy Minister.
