The Colombo Municipal Council has decided to publish a list of names of the houses and property owners, who have failed to pay their assessment tax to the Municipal Council. This is the first time that this type of action is being taken. According to the reports, names of the famous businessmen in Colombo, and 40 institutes are included in this list. These reports further say that, as over 700 million rupees to be recovered as tax payments from the 807 houses and properties which are included in this list, prohibition orders are also been issued to takeover these properties.
