Pillay invited to visit Sri Lanka
According to the reports, the Sri Lanka’s U.N.embassy in Geneva has invited Mrs Navanitham Pillay The U.N. Human Rights Commissioner  to visit Sri Lanka.
This invitation was made according to the resolution passed in the U.N. human Rights council against Sri Lanka in last April.
The Sri Lankan Embassy of United Nations in Geneva mentions that, the open invitation made by the Sri Lankan government to Mrs Navanitham
Pillay in April 2011, is still valid.
The objective of her visit is to observe whether the promise made by the Sri Lankan government at the U.N. Human Rights commission to activate recommendations made by the L.L.R.C.report is being properly fulfilled.
