President will visit India, ignoring the protests.
President Mahinda Rajapaksa will leave the island on a visit to India tomorrow,to participate in certain occasions including the laying of the foundation stone to the Sanchi International Buddhist University.
The Presidential Media Unit says that, even though protests are being launched in certain areas of India against Mr Rajapaksa’s visit, this tour will be commenced.
During this visit, President Mahinda Rajapaksa will hold bilateral talks with the Indian Prime Minister,  Dr Man Mohan Singh.
In addition to these, the leaders and the ministers of the two countries are due to discuss regarding the bilateral information
