Professor Cyril Randeniya and his nurse charged for running a abortion centre

 

For a complaint made to the Attorney General, he had ordered to file action against Professor Cyril Randeniya and his nurse for prescribing a drug to a pregnant lady to terminate her pregnancy.

The professor had been running an illegal medical centre to terminate pregnancies The Police had raided the clinic on a tip off. A woman constable had been given tablets to terminate her pregnancy. The Police had informed to Attorney General.

Professor Cyril Randeniya works as Consultant Gynecologist at the De Soysa Maternity clinic and at the Medical faculty as a lecturer. The nurse who had worked with him, Kalochana Manik Kumari also had been charged for the case.
