Specialist training for Sri Lankan engineers from Iran.
The Iranian government has agreed to provide a specialist training to the Sri Lankan engineers regarding the modern technical methodologies in the construction technologies.Mr Ali Nikzad, the Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran,has said these, during a special discussion held with Mr Wimal Weerawansa, Minister of Constructions, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities,held in the City of Tehran,of Iran.
This special discussion was held simultaneously with the inaugural meeting of the Active Committee for the development of regional low facility human settlements, held in Tehran recently.
‘Since there are many modern technical methodologies in the construction field are being activated in Iran, I believe that, those modern technical strategies will be very important to Sri Lanka’ Mr Ali Nikzad said.
He has informed these, as an answer to a request made by Minister Wimal Weerawansa, during this discussion.
Minister Wimal Weerawansa has indicated that, after concluding of the terrorism, Sri Lanka has gained a rapid progress in the construction field, which is being activated according to the ‘Foresight of Mahinda Chinthana’ Programme.He also inquired about the ability to provide the modern technical methods of the construction field and a specialist training to the Sri Lankan technicians.
Responding to that, Minister Ali Nikzad has said that, his country is always ready to accomplish the request.Accordingly, Sri Lankan engineers and technicians are due to visit Iran to obtain a Specialist training in the construction field.
In addition to this, long discussions were held regarding the development of low facility settlements, and the constructions field in the two countries.
