Sri Lankan productions are banned in Tamilnadu.
A ban was imposed on the Sri Lankan productions to be sold in the Co-Operative stalls in Tamilnadu.
The Tamilnadu City Co-Operative Society has ordered it’s stalls, not to sell Sri Lankan Productions and remove all the Sri Lankan goods which are already being displayed for sale.
According to the reports from Tamilnadu, a person called Shanthi Saravanth, the Chief of Tamilnadu Co-Operative Society has imposed this rule, due to a request made by an organization called ‘Reject the Sri Lankan Goods’.
Earlier, Mrs Jayalalitha Jeyaram, the Chief Minister of Tamilnadu has proposed the State Council that, the Sri Lankan productions should be banned.
According to the Indian reports, following the order issued by the Co-Operative Society, the Biscuits, Chocolates,and drugs, manufactured in Sri Lanka have been removed from the stalls.
