Visit Sri Lanka soon; Navaneethem Pillay.
According to the reports, Mrs Navaneethen Pillay,Head of the U.N. Human Rights Commission has decided to send a team of representatives of her office to Sri Lanka within next two months.
She has told the International media that, after the conclusion of the above visit, she herself is intending to visit Sri Lanka.

The deputy minister of resettlement Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan has stated that Rs. 500 lakhs have been allocated for renovating 500 Hindu Devalayas which were damaged in the war. He said this at the time of laying down the foundation stone for Karumari Amman Devalaya, Batticaloa. 124 Devalayas in Batticaloa are supposed to be renovated.  

It is reported that a person has put himself on fire in front of Kolpetty police station. He has been admitted to National hospital with serious injuries. The reason for the incident has not yet been revealed.
