Who cares Chandrika’s statements?

Dr Gunadasa Amarasekara, President of the Patriotic National Movement says that, nobody should care about Chandrika’s statements.

He has said these, while responding to a statement made by the Former President saying that,only 5% of the Sinhalese People are against the power division in Sri Lanka.

“She has tried to divide power since she has come into power.But it is not an easy task.If 5% of the Sinhalese are against it, that 5% is the most powerful portion.They are the people who create ideologies. There is a huge importance in that 5%. Nobody could say ‘No’ for that. This country is being saved by that 5%. Persons like Chandrika, who were ‘honoured’ by the name of ‘Bandit Queen’ (Chaura Rajina), should realize that, it is not easy to divide power in this country.

Although, the people who oppose are lesser in numbers, they are the most powerful representation of the public opinion, and also will be the same in future. It never will be changed,” he added.
