ලෝකයේ රටවල් ගණනාවකට වැඩම කරවන විශ්ව ශාන්ති බුද්ධ ප්රතිමා වහන්සේ (ජේ.ඞී. බුද්ධ ප්රතිමාව) ශ්රී ලංකාවට වඩම්මවයි.
ජනාධිපති ලේකම් කාර්යාලය හා සමස්ථ ලංකා බෞද්ධ මහා සම්මේලනය එක්ව මෙම පිළිම වහන්සේ මෙරටට වැඩමකරවීම සඳහා මූලිකත්වය ගෙන කටයුතු කරයි.
ලෝක සාමය සහ සහජීවනය ප්රාර්ථනා කරමින් රටෙන් රටට වඩම්මවන මෙම බුද්ධ ප්රතිමා වහන්සේ එළැඹෙන 07 වැනි දින අරලියගහ මන්දිරයේදී ප්රථමයෙන් ප්රදර්ශණය කිරීමට නියමිතය.
ඉන් අනතුරුව බණ්ඩාරනායක සම්මන්ත්රණ ශාලාවේදී 10 වැනිදා සිට 19 වැනිදා දක්වා මහජන වන්දනාමාන කටයුතු සඳහා ප්රදර්ශණය කෙරේ.

ලංකාවෙ බුද්ධ සාසනේ ආරක්සා වේවි ඕක ගෙනාවම,
කූරගලින් මුහුදුමහා විහාරෙන් තම්බි යාවි. අල්ලග්ත්ත පංසල් , දේවාල ටික දාලා කුරුසකාරයො ටිකත් යාවි , ඕක ගෙනාවම.

මේක මේ කවුද ඔස්ත්රෙලිං කාරයෝ ටිකකුයු මහායාන පොරවල් ටිකකුයි කරන හොඳ ජාවාරමක්. ජේඩ් වලින් හදපු පොඩි පොඩි පෙන්ඩන්ට් අරව මේවා විකුණන බිස්නස් එකක්.
මේකට කියන්නේ සද්ධර්ම ප්රතිරූපය කියල
ශාශනය විනාස වෙන්නේ මේ වගේ සද්ධර්ම ප්රතිරූපයක් ඇති වීමෙන් බව බුදුන් වහන්සේ සද්ධර්ම ප්රතිරූපක සූත්රයේ පෙන්වා දී තිබෙනවා
ලංකාවෙ පත්තරවල පළවෙච්ච ප්රවෘත්ති ඇරුණාම මේ ගැන කිසිම විස්තරයක් අන්තර්ජාලයෙන් හොයා ගන්න බැරි වුණා. කවුරුහරි දන්නවනං විස්තර තියෙන (ආරම්භය, හැදුවෙ කවුද, කොහෙන්ද ගේන්නෙ…) තැනක් කියන්න.

It is very unwholesome to disgrace Buddha. The Buddha is endowed with emmence virtues. Virtues are depicted in a statue of the Buddha. The one who has made the statue might have thought to do some moral deeds to the world by planning some way. Therefore we should honour the Buddha thinking as something to create internatinal frienship. There are monks belong to diffrent races but they all are Sangha. In the same way there are many types of Buddha statue made according to the traditions of the world.

When this staue was displayed in Singapore many people visit and respect it and it inspired the minds of many people. We regard this object as something holly and at the same time shall we spread the virtues of Buddha to meditate
