ජනාධිපති ධුරයට පත් වන පුද්ගලයෙකුට පරිපාලනය දේශපාලනය ගැන අත්දැකීම් තිබිය යුතු යයි අද මෙරට බහුතර ජනතාවක් විශ්වාස කරන බව පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත‍්‍රී උදය ගම්මන්පිල මහතා පවසයි.
මෙරට මිලියන 22ක් වූ ජනතාවගේ ඉරණම තීරණය කරන්නේ ජනාධිපතිවරයා බවත් ප්රාදේශීය සභාවක් හෝ පාලනය කර නැති පුද්ගලයෙකු මෙරට ජනාධිපති කරන්නට ජනතාව සූදානම් නැතැයිද මන්ත‍්‍රීවරයා කියා සිටී.
එවන් අවදානම් නොගත යුතු යයි ජනතාව අත්දැකීමෙන් ඉගෙනගෙන ඇති බවත් මන්ත‍්‍රීවරයා තව දුරටත් කියයි.
දේශපාලනයෙන් තොර නිර්පාක්‍ෂික පොදු අපේක්‍ෂකයෙක් ජනාධිපති ආපේක්‍ෂක ලෙස ගෙන එන්නේ යයි එක්සත් ජාතික පක්‍ෂය විසින් දරන උත්සාහය ගැන මාධ්‍ය විසින් කල විමසීමකදී ඔහු මෙම අදහස් පල කලේය.
මීලග ජනාධිපතිවරණ අපේක්‍ෂකත්වය සදහා චමල් රාජපක්‍ෂ, ගෝටාභය රාජපක්‍ෂ, බැසිල් රාජපක්‍ෂ, දිනේෂ් ගුණවර්ධන හා වත්මන් ජනාධිපති මෛත‍්‍රීපාල සිරිසේන මහතාගේ නම් යෝජනා වී ඇති බවත් ඉන් වඩාත්ම සුදුසුම කවුදැයි මහින්ද රාජපක්‍ෂ මහතා විසින් තීරණය කරනු ඇතැයිද ඔහු සදහන් කලේය.

Absolutely. Concepts such as leadership are strange concepts to some commenting here. Gota may be a dictator, but bacause of this failed and useless government people are yearning for such strong leadership. It may not necessarily be the best thing, but it is exactly what occurred in 2015. People voted for a softie against a strongman. But the lesson of 2015 is difficult to unlearn.
