හිටපු ජනාධිපති වත්මන් විපක්ෂ නායක මහින්ද රාජපක්‍ෂ මහතා අද දිනයේ විපක්ෂ නායක කාර්යාලයේ නිල ලෙස සිය රාජකාරි කටයුතු ආරම්භ කලේය.
ඉන් පසුව පැවති මාධ්‍ය හමුව අමතමින් විපක්ෂ නායකවරයා කියා සිටියේ වසර හතරකට පසු ජනතාවගේ දැවෙන ගැටළු ගැන පෙනීසිටින ජනතාවාදී විපක්ෂයක් බිහිවී තිබෙන බවයි.
ව්‍යවස්ථා ප‍්‍රතිසංස්කරන ගැන අවධානය යොමු කරන බවත් කෘෂිකාර්ම හා ආර්ථික අංශ කෙරෙහි අවධානය යොමු කරන බවත් ඒ මහතා සදහන් කලේය.
ආණ්ඩුවේ කටයුතු සමීපව අධීක්ෂණය කරමින් රටට අහිතකර ඒවා නිවැරදි ලෙස විවේචනයට කරමින් සැබෑ විපක්ෂයේ භූමිකාව ඉටු කරන බවද ඒ මහතා වැඩි දුරටත් පැවසීය.
මීලග ජනාධිපතිවරණ අපේක්‍ෂකයන් ලෙස දැනට සාකච්චා වන කිසිවෙකුක් මෙම අවස්ථාව සදහා සහභාගී නොවීම විශේෂත්වයකි.
