There is no harm the distribution of education by private and government providers. But medical education must be offered by the government as it incur a high cost and standards, which are unaffordable to private providers in Sri Lanka. The technology in medical education subject to quick changes and medical students need to gain new technological, conceptual and practical knowledge and skills. As private providers are concerned with cost effectiveness than the quality of education, it would be high risk activity offering medical education by private people or organizations in Sri Lanka.

Every right mind layman knows that GOMA wants to run the show and control the so called medical education in Sri lanka.
